Bp. Hilarion Capucci

Bp. Hilarion Capucci is a Greek-Melkite Catholic priest and bishop who was ordained in 1947 and consecrated a bishop in 1965. He served as the Greek-Melkite Patriarchal Vicar of Jerusalem (1965–1974) and Apostolic Visitor of the Greek-Melkites of Western Europe. He was Bishop of Caesarea, Palestine, in exile, until his retirement in 1999. His ministry in later years was extended particularly to Palestinians of the European diaspora, and he has long been an advocate and activist for justice for the Palestinian people of the Holy Land.
